Residential Projects

Most states in the US are now requiring Manual J load calculations be performed to properly calculate heating and cooling loads for new residential construction (See Section 403.6 of 2009 IECC and Section 1401.3 of 2009 IRC).

If you are the home owner, we can prepare the Manual J Report which will show the HVAC equipment heating and cooling capacities that your home will require. If you are the builder, and the HVAC equipment has already been selected, we can prepare the Manual J report you will need in order to obtain your building permit.

We offer extremely affordable rates for the preparation of Manual J load calculation reports for contractors, builders, architects, engineers, and homeowners and we can often have your report completed in as soon as one day.

For over 24 years, with literally hundreds of Manual J reports created all over the country, we can serve you.

If you are a contractor, builder, or design professional, we know you have clients that are very demanding.

Our job is to help you meet your commitments.

We are Certified by ACCA, which created Manual J, and sets the standards.

Only use a certified professional to do your work.

All of our work is guaranteed to pass local township requirements, all over the US.

We serve all of the USA.  You simply provide us with the necessary home plans and equipment you want to install.

Manual J: “Residential Load Calculation”

Before installing a residential HVAC system, an HVAC professional must thoroughly understand the home and its characteristics. One of the most critical factors is the building’s heating and cooling load, which indicates the amount of heating and cooling required to maintain the residents’ preferred indoor temperature. Manual J offers comprehensive background information and technical guidance to accurately calculate this important measurement.

Manual D: “Residential Duct Systems”

Manual D addresses the design and installation of ductwork systems in homes. Ductwork is more crucial than many homeowners realize. Mistakes in ductwork design or installation can lead to significant air and energy leaks, resulting in considerable financial loss. Poorly designed and installed ducts can greatly diminish indoor comfort and cause HVAC systems to wear out faster as they struggle to meet temperature demands.

Manual S: “Residential Heating and Cooling Equipment Selection”

Manual S provides detailed technical and operational specifications for various brands of HVAC systems. This information, combined with the results of a Manual J load calculation, helps technicians choose the best HVAC equipment for a home. Manual S also includes guidance on equipment sizing, ventilation, and air distribution.

Rescheck is a software program developed by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to help ensure that new homes meet the energy efficiency requirements of the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC).  REScheck may be acceptable in lieu of a manual J report, however, this is determined by the local county or jurisdiction, rather than statewide.

Please note some townships may have licensing requirements that are beyond the scope of our work which is limited to ACCA-compliant equipment and duct sizing, and equipment selection.

Feel free to call us or email us with any questions you may have about our services.

We also offer Manual N reports for commercial projects.
